This is the most popular and most efficient way of using the Everpure water filtration system.  The Saddle Valve shown allows installation without cutting or removing any of your current plumbing.  Once installed, you can simply change the cartridge anytime water flow becomes too slow, or if off-tastes return.

If your cartridge does not last as long as it should, chances are strong that there is too much particulate (dirt) in the water.  It is cheaper in the long run to install a cheap rough filter on the hose before the Everpure cartridge to catch as much of the particles as possible before they get clog the system.  Many rough filters allow for back-washing of the cartridge or use a simple paper element that can be quickly changed.
